APPENDIX B TO THE RULES OF HEATHFIELD AGRICULTURAL SHOW
RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY IN HORSE CLASSES
In the event of Show cancelation fees will be refunded less 10% to cover administration costs.
EXHIBITORS MUST HAVE PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE COVER TO BE ABLE TO EXHIBIT HORSES AT THE HEATHFIELD AGRICULTURAL SHOW.
SSADL Home Produced In-Hand and Ridden qualifiers comprising of The London International Horse Show 1st Round, Members Open Challenges, Members M & M Challenges, Members Lead Rein/First Ridden Challenges, Members Foreign Breeds Challenges, The Senior of the Year Championship.
Open to both Members and Non Members. All competitors should acquaint themselves with the rules of the SSADL. They can be found at www.seniorshowinganddressage.co.uk. Members are required to have their Qualification cards in the ring at the time of presentation which will be signed by the Judge, non-members must register within 10 days to be eligible for Challenge Finals to be held at SSADL National Championship Show 21st and 22nd September 2024.
SSADL Home Produced Qualifiers are OPEN to both members and non-members of SSADL. No Spurs, No Galloping, No Wearing of Face/Body Jewellery. Foals are NOT permitted SSADL classes For In Hand Classes -Minimum age of handler = 9 years old. STALLIONS – Either for the In Hand or Ridden Classes, Competitors Must be 16years of age or over. Competitors cannot enter the ring once the command of trot has been given. First Ridden ponies/riders will be asked after the initial walk round to come into the centre of the ring. First Ridden Competitors will only canter in their individual shows. THE SAME RIDER/HANDLER/PONY/HORSE COMBINATION MUST STAY THE SAME FROM FIRST/ SECOND ROUND QUALIFIERS AND GRAND FINAL. ALL COMPETITORS SHOULD AQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH SSADL RULES BEFORE ENTERING. SSADL Rule book can be found at www.seniorshowinganddressage.co.uk
1st - 6th in each age group will qualify for the London International Horse Show 2nd round qualifiers.
1st to 2nd from each AGE section will qualify for the SSADL Members Open Challenge
The two highest placed M & M within a class will qualify for Members M & M Challenge
The two highest placed Foreign Breeds within a class will qualify for the Members Foreign Breeds Challenge
The winner from each class will qualify for the Senior of the Year Championship
SSADL QUALIFICATION CARDS will be handed out in the ring at the same time as the presentation. COMPETITORS ONLY NEED ONE QUALIFICATION CARD PER SECTION PER SEASON IN HAND AND/OR RIDDEN IF ALREADY QUALIFIED THIS CARD MUST BE HANDED DOWN THE LINE.
This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Affiliation No. 24-036
Both the owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However, in order to Qualify both Owner and Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and have a valid Qualifier card.
Members should apply to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card.
The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 15th–17th August 2024.
Classes 194 - 196 are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers. For full rulings and information on competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS (UK) Members’ Handbook; or visit www.chapsuk.com for rulings. Only skewbalds/piebalds may compete in these classes.
All stallions, 4 years old and over entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS (UK). All stallions must wear Stallion ID Discs in the ring without exception.
The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the Equifest Ridden Veteran Horse/Pony Final to be held at Arena UK, Grantham on 1st - 4th August 2024.
